Who is the coaching suitable for?
Coaching is open to bodboarders from age 8 - 80. As long as you can swim over 50m in open water you can take part. If you are a total novice to bodyboarding or you have bodyboarded before, even if you have already had lessons we can help you sky rocket your improvements using our state of the art coaching techniques. The coaching is tiered and personalised so that every body improves at their own rate.
Where can I stay for the weekend?
Please just let us know your requirements and we can help to arrange everything for you. It’s your call, whether you prefer to camp, stay in a guest house, a hotel, a self catering apartment, a surf lodge - we have a great local network of accom providers that can we can recommend to you to suit your taste and budget.
Can I attend alone / with a group?
The course is open to groups, couples or individuals. The more of you that book, the cheaper the course will become for you due to our group discount scheme (please ask when booking). Many people participate in our courses as individuals and find that it’s a great way to network new friends to surf with.

Who will be coaching me?
Our coaching team are a friendly, laid back bunch who keep very high professional standards. With the English and British team coaches on our staff and some of the countries national champions you can be assured that you will be in safe hands. Our staff are all British Surfing Association qualified, hold up to date beach lifeguard awards and are individually insured. Our school is the only one in Newquay to be deemed a Centre of Excellence.
Where will we be bodyboarding?
This depends on the conditions during the weekend. We predominantly use Fistral and Newquay Bay beaches, but may go mobile if we think that more suitable conditions can be found else where.
What do I need to bring along?
If you have your own bodyboard, fins or wetsuit then please bring them along. We have plenty of equipment for participants to use though (which is inclusive in the price). All that you need to bring is a towel, a swimming costume and we recommend warm, loose fitting clothing.
What do we do for lunch?
When you book you have the option to add two healthy lunches to your weekend. They are £4.50 each and will be a pasta box or sandwhich. You can then eat them onsie at the school for convenience.
What if the surf is too small or too big?
In the rare case that the surf is too small to ride you will be given a credit note for the sessions that you were unable to take part in so that you can return again in the future (we can re-book you on the day if you prefer). If the waves are too big we will go mobile to a more protected beach where the waves are smaller. |
