What To Expect
This course caters for riders that haven’t bodyboarded before and those that have but would like to improve paddling, wave selection, turning, spinning, rolling and polishing their riding.
Briefly the weekend is aimed at bodyboarders aged between 8 and 80 who are keen to take part in a fun weekend that will focus on improving their riding. It’s a great chance to improve all aspects of your bodyboarding skills from checking the surf, to polishing your cutbacks, choosing a good trim line and nailing some lip moves.
You’ll be taught by top Bodyboard instructors from Rob Barber’s Bodyboarding School and some of the event sponsors team riders.
Video analysis will be used to identify problems and trouble shoot technique faults. There will also be specific manoeuvre training/fitness tips by British Junior surf team coach and sports scientist Glenn Eldridge.
Equipment can be supplied for no extra charge or if you have it you can use your own equipment. More experienced riders will be grouped together to focus on specific techniques while more novice bodyboarders will be helped through the difficult early stages of their riding.
What You Need
Your swimming costume, sunscreen and a towel. If you have your own wetsuit, board or fins please bring them. We recommend some warm, loose clothing that you can easily change into and out of. Thin layers and a warm, waterproof jacket are essential.
